The post-doctoral researcher will be responsible for 1) Supporting a body of work focused on examining healthcare priority setting in Kenya the broader East African region, 2) Support institutionalization of health technology assessment in Kenya and the East African region, 3) Conduct health technology assessments in collaboration with government 4) supporting and contributing to the health economics capacity building initiatives of the Health Economics Research Unit (HERU), 5) Supervision and mentorship of PhD students and research assistants, 6) Contribute and support policy engagement initiatives of HERU, and 7) develop own body of work and mobilize research funding to support their transition to research independence.

This role will manage the HRMIS Project working closely with the HR team, the vendor, Finance team and the ICT team to ensure successful implementation of the HRMIS. The role will also ensure that the project scope, time and cost are as per expectation and every milestone is met during the project cycle. The post-holder will ensure that all installation and development activities are executed in a planned and coordinated manner. 

The role of the HRA records is to assist on both hard and soft copy records to make sure that we have up to date accurate data in our registry and the same is reflected in our excel records.

The post-holder will lead a programme of research within the Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine Impact Study (PCVIS). This is a longitudinal study, funded by Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance, to determine the long-term impact of the PCV programme in Kenya and guide vaccine policy in consultation with the Kenya National Immunisation Technical Advisory Group (KENITAG) and the National Vaccines and Immunization Program within the Ministry of Health. The post holder will be expected to contribute to the further development of the research programme (including development of their own proposals), scientific leadership, and collaborate with local, national and international partners. The ideal post holder will have experience in pneumococcal microbiology / molecular biology.

This Role will oversee of KWTRP HR management system, HR analytics and metrics in addition this position is responsible for developing, implementing, and modifying system requirements to support the Human Resources department.  Performs a variety of day-to-day administrative Human Resource Information System (HRIS) functions ensuring data integrity and the processing and reporting of HR data. The SHRO works closely with heads of departments to ensure all HR system needs are met. Attends departmental meetings to advise and follow up on HR matters related to the HRMIS
